Forrestal Drive sits in the heart of sought after Chamblee, Ga. This home was built in 1966, and had been through a couple of previous homeowner face-lifts. But this house was ready for an open floor plan and a professional team to bring it up to date.

We had a few challenges such as re-routing the duct work that was originally in the center of the room. And there was some floor leveling that needed to be done where there was once tile in the kitchen and now needed blending of new hardwoods with the original hardwoods in the living space. But with sanding it all down, and staining with a fresher, lighter gray tone, the floors really helped to brighten the space.

With the center dividing wall now gone, natural sunlight can really travel across the space better, making the space much less heavy. Then adding the custom kitchen cabinets, countertops, colorful backsplash and a fresh coat of bright paint reflects the home owner’s bright personalities and really made for a fun before and after project.
