Words do not describe the amount of pride that we have in this project.  This home, was a gorgeous home before our arrival, sitting proud on Peachtree Battle Ave.  The home, built in the 20's had undergone several renovations...and they were not done correctly to say the least.  The goal was to remove a central wall, supporting a considerable amount of 2 story load and create the kitchen that this home deserved.  

 

Here was the problem....Perched directly above that load bearing wall was two, beautiful marble bathrooms.  They looked wonderful, but the framing they were rested upon was beyond terrible.  

 

The challenge...Remove the load bearing walls, install a structural steel frame, rework ALL of the wood framing from below with out cracking a single marlbe tile in the bathrooms above.  This was a challenge that quite frankly I was skeptical of from the beginning.  Oh...and the clients were living in the home the entire time.  With countless temporary walls, calculated movements, and precision engineering, my team made it happen! 

 

This project was hands down the largest challeng that The Hamlin Group has taken on to date and we are very proud of the results.  The clients were a delight to work with thruout this projectWe hope that you enjoy the before and after pictures.
