The previous home owner had installed slate onto this deck system.  The weight was causing structural failure, and the system was leaking.   This otherwise beautiful home was in need of a serious deck overhaul.  The homeowner valued quality and durability, thus opted to use a composite decking system.  In order to maintain the weatherproof use of the patio below, we incorporated a hidden drainage system which allowed us to finish off the underside in a beautiful way.  Rather than construct a new railing system, we chose to carefully remove the existing, sand blast them and re-finish them.  Being careful to hold the same dimensions, we were able to re-install the ornamental railings and give them new life.  This project turned out great, and is certainly a compliment to a beautiful home.  THG.
