Delmont Drive

This was a quick, high energy project for one of our most loyal clients! Located near Garden Hills, this quaint house had great structure, but needed a lot of THG love.  Our client had a VISION and we LISTENED.  We started by opening up the kitchen wall to create a breakfast bar.  This involved removing original framing from the 40's, adding structural beams and re-working the plaster.    In order to maximize space, we needed to convert a study into a bedroom.  To do so, we found space to construct a new closet and even re-purposed an original door into a space saving barn door.   Next, we totally reconstructed the upstairs bathroom and gave the lower bathroom a much needed face lift.

One item on our clients "wish list" was to open the stairwell up so that it visually connected to the living space.  A messy structural condition and a nest of wiring made it a challenge, but we always find a way.

Once the heavy construction was done we added new tile,  updated cabinet hardware, a barn door, new electrical fixtures, new soapstone counters,  a fresh coat of paint and re-finished  the original hardwood flooring!

We feel that we maintained the original character of this beautiful home and gave it many more years of life.  We couldn’t be more thrilled with how this project turned out!  We love all of our clients, but we really love the ones who stick with us from project to project regardless of the complexity or the schedule!  Thank you for viewing…THG
